 I am proud to announce the birth of Elijah James Flynn. He weighs 7lb 5oz and is 20 inches long. He did come with some difficulty. He had some decelerations of his heart with some of the pushes. The Docs gave it some time and he did well. It seems he had the cord wrapped around his neck, but only once. The pediatricians say he is a normal bouncing baby boy. I praise God for getting us all through this, safely.

Samantha - 40 weeks and 2 days |

 Well, we are now 40 weeks and 2 days. She has had no contractions and is not evening dialated. The most recent problem is that she has gone from being swollen to just plain SWOLL. We joke that "my better half has turned into my better 3/4, which is pretty hard to do." Of course, when she first got pregnant and changed her eating habits I taught her eveything I knew about "eating for two."
Anyway, it won't be too long now till Elijah James Flynn will be here.

 We are now entering week 28. Time does fly when you're having fun - and getting a nursery together. I was really proud of myself for getting the stroller together - one small victory of many battles yet to come.
Samantha and the baby are doing well. She keeps telling me how BIG she is getting. A buddy of mine told me, "Never call your pregnant wife a wife-a-potamus." So, what do I do? I called her a wife-a-potamus. She laughed. But now, we have entered another stage. She is now a "Pregna-saurus Rex" (in a loud booming and echoing vocie). Really its kinda of funny, we go to bed and she has to make her nest. She has a pillow for her head, two for her belly when she sleeps on her sides, one to elevate her feet, and one for inbetween her knees (still not sure what that one is for). Currently, I'm sleeping on a couple of towels since she has all the pillows.
Anyway, we're all doing well and are axiously wanting to finish the nursery. To see a larger version of the picture on the right, just click it.
